EMSOL SCW-5000 Passes Hydrostatic Test
At the Activo Muspac in Reforma, Chiapas, Petroleos Mexicanos (PEMEX) was seeking options for bonding reinforcement plates to pipelines without the use of welding. As a result a hydrostatic test was used to evaluate the performance of the EMSOL SCW-5000 resurfacer, which is designed for adhering metal components without welding .
The test began with the gradual increase of pressure with periodic pauses between the increases.
Final Test Pressure:
At this point the pressure was sustained over a period of 45 minutes, and the results were observed by PEMEX staff. Having passed the test, the system is now being used actively for repairs throughout PEMEX.
